A guiding methodology that we embrace when approaching any project is a fundamental understanding that the client's organisation is (or should be) an integrated, holistic entity. The people, first and foremost, feed and nourish the organisation, develop the strategies, marketing plans, operational procedures and decide which technology to adopt to help the company grow. They are the life of the organisation, and if they become detached from the rest of the structure, it is easy for the "tree" (organisation) to wither or suffer decay.
In the following diagram, we can see how the people fuel the organisation and help it to flourish, in turn creating the business performance that is desired. Incidentally, if you turn this diagram upside down, it looks like a tree with the people at the base, or the roots.
