Omarketing

About Omarketing:
Omarketing is a boutique technology PR company based in Teddington.

The Brief:
Omarketing need a client extranet to help manage the client briefs and also provide an interactive way for the agency to work with its clients in progressing PR work.

Our Approach:
After a series of consultative meetings, we created a requirements specification that we could start developing. This was first built as a prototype to enable us to collaboratively iron out any uncertainties in the core requirements and make refinements to the processes before we implemented the final functionality with the design in place. The final version of the system was tested with selected beta clients of Omarketing and was launched after being well received.

TeCSA

About TeCSA:
The Technology and Construction Solicitors' Association (TeCSA) was established in 1990 to promote the interests of solicitors and their clients involved in litigation in the Technology and Construction Court, which involves construction, engineering, technology and IT disputes. TeCSA currently has over 250 members.

The Brief:
The old TeCSA website needed a radical overhaul since it was long out of date with the current branding of TeCSA. The site also required regular updating.

Our Approach:
Emissary looked at the situation holistically, and, given that many clients require their websites updated periodically or even regularly, elected to develop an in-house content management system (CMS) to hold the new design and allow TeCSA to manage the content directly themselves. The key benefit of this is that there is no delay in updating the website - whether this is simple text changes, or even navigation changes. Content such as directories of adjudicators have now been committed to the database (as a bespoke function within the CMS) so that whenever content from the adjudicators list is used it is drawn from a single, central resource. This removed the duplications, errors and omissions on the old site where the lists were manually created and managed. The CMS was designed using technologies such as AJAX to provide a fully integrated platform for managing content, innovating beyond many traditional CMS platforms which are available today.

SAProles.com

About SAProles.com:
SAProles.com is an independent recruitment portal for SAP vacancies.

The Brief:
SAProles came to us looking initially for additional development work for their recruitment portal.

Our Approach:
Based on SAProles business objectives and our consultant's expertise in the recruitment field, we recommended that additional architecture changes be made to the platform to prepare them for future growth and necessary systems integration work (e.g. a new job search tool). We also recommended a new dedicated hosting facility based in the UK which would provide better performance for their immediate needs. Once approved, we implemented the system-wide changes to the architecture and deployed the site to the new server. SAProles are now in a position to engage more recruiters directly and provide THE source for SAP jobs.

The Brief:
Because there are only a small number of properties at present, the main site should be simple to navigate. We need a back-office facility to manage bookings so that our teams in the UK and Spain can see at-a-glance which properties are rented.

Our Approach:
After a period of research into the North Costa Blanca, related property sites and competitors, we created a vibrant, professional design to show off the properties and provide a strong marketing platform for the company. We developed a secure back-office calendar tool so that the team could login via the web and manage bookings as they are taken.

Park Lane Apartments

About Park Lane Apartments:
Park Lane Apartments is an established Mayfair property management company. Our brief was to improve the design and the search engine results. We also provided a full, online property management database.

The Brief:
The existing site is generating no traffic and needs to be re-thought.

Our Approach:
The original site was completely frame based and most of the content existed only as images, thus not generating any interest from search engines. Furthermore, all the valuable content (ie the property information) was pulled from an external site via a third-party database system. The overall design, content and approach of the previous site was wrong and needed to be re-thought and re-built from the ground up. We brought the overall design back on-brand, simplifed and enhanced the property management tools and ensured that the site was search engine friendly. We used image manipulation tools in the admin site so that large property images were rescaled as needed by the system to simplify its use by the Park Lane team.

Noura Brasseries

About Noura Brasseries:
Noura is the leading Lebanese restaurant group in London. We developed the new website and added a facility where customers can order collection or take-away orders which has proved highly successful. We also organised Japanese translations of parts of th

The Brief:
The original brief was to rebuild the site but has since included the production of posters for events and the implementation of a Japanese translation of the site.

Our Approach:
We created a completely new look in keeping with the Noura brand without frames (easier for search engines). We also completely redeveloped the ordering process using a mySQL database so that products could be easily managed and the order process better structured around the customer. Now, when orders are placed through the new, easy-to-use interface, they are sent directly to a printer at Noura where they can be easily processed. We have also performed photo shoots for Noura for use on the website, developed a Japanese version of the site and produced a number of posters for events and promotional work.

Client Quote:
"The number of orders we get has risen since you rebuilt our website, and we also get more telephone orders for our catering services." -- NBA

Boghossian Industrial & Investment Group

About Boghossian Industrial & Investment Group:
BIG is an international group of companies with interests primarily in oil, gas, power, and civil engineering. A website was needed to show the Group's various interests and provide some online marketing.

The Brief:
The site must be professional, and grab your attention. We don't want to use frames because they cause problems with search engines, but we would like the header fixed on the page. The site should also be printable.

Our Approach:
After an initial meeting in London, we continued to develop the site via telephone and email for this Lebanese-based global company. We first animated the group logo in Flash and built an introduction home page including an animated introduction and Flash world clocks. We then used cutting-edge CSS technology to fix the header on the page without using frames, and maximised the use of CSS throughout the site to create a search engine friendly site plus providing a "fact sheet" style when you print each page instead of the on-screen version.
