About Emissary
Emissary was formed in July 2002 by Edward Terry to provide pain-free web solutions for business that generate measurable results. The following text provides a potted history of the company and its founder - the official marketing text. Edward has has worked in the IT sector since 1986 for a wide range of companies including BAeSEMA, Mondex International, Merant International and the Internet Applications Group, and has been working with the Internet since 1996; interestingly all companies that have since merged or been acquired.
Having enjoyed a successful career in management consulting to companies including FedEx, GE Capital, Abbey, GKN, Sainsbury's and others, he decided to form his own company in 2001 and created what was originally called "emerald eStates".
Also in 2001, Edward was recognised by International Who's Who for his professional, academic and civic achievements, and was also accredited by the Association for Project Management as a recognised project manager for his work on multi-million pound projects in both the public and private sectors.
Since 2001, Emissary has worked for many SMEs and public sector organisations, including universities, government departments, estate agents, restaurants, professional service companies, and many more, both in the UK and overseas. Projects range from simple print work, through web design through to research and development to conceptualise and develop new products.
Edward believes that this diversity in Emissary's business contracts is beneficial for our clients as each client benefits from the cross-fertilisation of knowledge, approaches and ideas from other sectors which helps promote growth and maturity in the results and their business as a whole.
And the future? Edward sees a growth in each of Emissary's core business areas to a wider and ever-maturing business audience; as business truly embraces the potential of the Internet, and emerging technologies become integrated into the daily status quo, more significant benefits will be achieved. Emissary keeps an eye on emerging technologies and developments so that we can enable our clients' businesses when they and, importantly, their market are ready to adopt them.
